Visitors to Hawaii would need a long stay on Kauai indeed to take advantage of all the wonderful activities Kauai provides. Not only does Kauai have great beaches with world class surfing and snorkeling, but we also have some of the best getaway beaches in the world.

The remote Larsen's Beach  is 15 minutes away and it is known to be the only "nude beach" on Kauai! There are several nearby charter boat operators for whale watching in the winter, scuba diving all year long, tours and snorkeling of the Nä-pali coast or the forbidden island and romantic sunset cruises. You can also rent a kayak on the Wailua or Hanalei Rivers for that jungle adventure.

Within a 45 minutes drive from Mahina Kai Ocean Villa are the National Tropical Botanical Gardens.  Allerton garden tours are offered daily as well as Mc Bryde Garden, home to the largest ex situ collection of native Hawaiian flora in existence. At no charge, visitors can wander through the lush gardens at the Allerton visitor center, across from Spouting Horn. There is no shortage of shopping on Kauai, either at the Po'ipu Shopping Center (a few blocks away) or in the quaint little plantation town of Koloa.

The awesome beauty of Kauai, can best be experienced by taking a helicopter tour from one of the many operators on Kauai.  Or see it from your zip-line or tubing adventure through the jungle.
